Principal’s Message
Each day at SSV is an adventure filled with real hand experiences, learning for all and gives a chance to constantly widen their horizons. With a well experienced, intellectual team of faculty members, we work round the clock for the upliftment of the students’ community. We believe each student can experience success and go on to higher education as a responsible, resilient and confident young citizen to take charge of their future. They will become a productive member of the country. Our curriculum and practices are constantly reviewed and updated as per CBSE board and Government norms.
Scholastic Areas

Curriculum
SSV is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi
which follows NCERT curriculum. As per CBSE norms, the Teacher-Students ratio
is 1:30
Language
The medium of instruction is English and the mother tongue Tamil is compulsory
and third language is Hindi
House System
All the students are allocated in one of the four Houses namely Pimpom,
Snickers, Bounty & Gems and weekly activities / competitions are organized to
bring out the best in our students and this also helps in building up the team
spirit amongst them.
After School Tutoring
This program is aimed at helping the students in accessing the support they
need to understand the basic concepts of the lessons and encourage the
students to become capable, independent learners. It is available to all low
achievers on every working day and offers support across a range of subjects
including English, Science and Mathematics. This support is planned by the
management to cater to the needs of the parents and students.

Physical Education
“A healthy body nurtures a healthy mind” Hence stress is laid on physical education.
Ample opportunities for indoor and outdoor games are provided. Students get
opportunity to take part in the sports meet conducted by various Cluster/Sahodaya
school complexes.
Scout & Guide/Cub & Bulbuls
Scout and Guide/Cub & Bulbuls are included since it teaches students to be self-
sufficient and well-disciplined. Values of national security, national interest and love
for the country are inculcated. Camps & field visits are compulsorily added as part of
the curriculum.
Co-Curricular Activities
To help students explore their creativity, we offer a wide variety of Co-Curricular
activities. Vocal music, Art & Craft, Sports &Yoga are integral part of the curriculum.
Extra-curricular Activities
There are some additional activities that contribute to the enhancement of student’s
all-round abilities. Students can choose from a wide variety of activities like Western
Dance, Silambam, Roller skating, Archery, Classical dance, Karate etc. Many of these
activities are conducted by external professionals. The school offers a high degree of
competency and the children are encouraged to participate in any one activity at a
time.
Infra-structure

The Library
The school has an extensive library. The library is open on all working days to enable
the students to have access to various books, periodicals, journals and newspapers.
Digital Learning
The school has adopted Digital learning programme to enrich and enhance the
teaching learning process. Touch screen smart boards have been installed in each
classroom for the same.
Excursions, Field Trips & Tours.
To enrich the school curriculum fieldtrips and excursions are planned for the students
throughout the year. Field trips like visits to the post office, fire station, super market,
petrol station etc. for the young age groups. Field trips differ according to the age,syllabus and maturity level of the students. These trips are compulsory for all the
students.
Laboratories
Students perform experiments in well-equipped and modernized laboratories under
the supervision of teachers and also practically learn computers in the Air Conditioned
computer lab. To enhance learning by doing for better understanding, students
demonstrate Mathematical concepts in Maths lab.
Laurels and Achievements

Academics
First batch of class X students appeared for CBSE board exam in the year 2021-2022
and produced centum results. Master. Nithish Aditya was the school topper.
National level Silambam
Scout and Guide/Cub & Bulbuls are included since it teaches students to be self-
sufficient and well-disciplined. Values of national security, national interest and love
for the country are inculcated. Camps & field visits are compulsorily added as part of
the curriculum.
Open state Badminton
Selvi. A. Vivancy Ida of class III has bagged first prize in badminton under 10 – Girls
(single and double category) held at Neyveli.
